St. Vital- Igloo demolition

We have enjoyed our igloo for several weeks now but after much love and attention from the students we noticed that it was starting to come apart.

We decided that today was the day to take it apart so we can start something new.

All of the students joined in on the work (aka-fun) of taking the igloo apart and squishing the jugs.

We needed a lot of helping with the igloo demolition.

We knew that squishing milk just could be so much fun!

 We didn't realize how many bags we would need for our jugs.  We hope we can get them all back to SARCAN soon.

Our igloo is gone....I wonder what will take its place?

BCS- We've made a few changes to our classroom

We've worked hard to make a few changes to our classroom.

We've added some new furniture to the entrance of the room to create a more relaxing and welcoming area for both students and parents.

We hope that everyone takes time to stop in and enjoy our new surroundings.

We enjoyed using our new space to look at all we have made in our memory boxes. We are hoping to find many new things in our boxes soon.

Our new furniture is a great place to relax and enjoy looking at our photo albums.

We hope you stop by and enjoy looking in our books too!

BCS St. Patricks Day Fun

We had a lot of fun hunting for leprechauns last week.

Making a Rainbow in the Snow

With St. Patrick's Day almost here we spent a lot of time talking about rainbows.
The kids decided they would really like to walk on a rainbow but knew walking on a real one wouldn't be possible.
We then had the idea to try making a rainbow in the snow.

Here is a short video of how we made our rainbow in the snow and of course we had to try walking on it!

It has been awhile since I have been able to post about what we are working on at school.


Here is a brief look at what has been happening at BCS and at St. Vital:

• We have been working hard to learn different nursery rhymes and hope to post a glimpse of our hard work soon.
• With St. Patrick's Day coming soon we have been talking a lot about rainbows.
• We are excited about St. Patrick's Day and have been working hard on our magic leprechaun wands.  We will be posting soon an update of how well our wands work for catching leprechauns.
• We are excited to be be able to play outside in the snow again and hope that it stays warm out.
• We are excited about our upcoming Celebrations of Learning and look forward to showing you all that we have been learning, working on, and doing at school.
